Removing music from a quicktime file

Hi,
I know this may be the wrong forum to post this in, but I had to. Last decade, my employer produced a world famous action film and directed many of the fight scenes. He wants to put together a demo reel of those fight scenes, however there is a problem as usual. Since he does out have the foley and music for the movie, I have to find a way to remove music from the movie scenes (which I had to rip and convert into a quicktime) but keep the sounds and foley. I have basic knowledge of Soundtrack pro but if someone can give me a quick idea or a link to a tutorial to remove music I would be most thankful. If there isnt a good way to do it in a software, what would be the next best option.
Thanks,
Amit
