Final Cut Pro 2 perf (NTSC) Cinema Tools
by Joni Church on Apr 25, 2009 at 4:17:31 am

Hi there,

I came across this post while researching a similar situation; http://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/8/995621

I'm getting ready to edit a film shot on 35mm 2-perf stock. The film lab is transferring it to DVCPro HD 720p 23.98 and providing me with the digital footage on a hard drive (captured in FCP), as well as an ALE file to import into Cinema Tools.

I assumed they knew their stuff and agreed to that workflow, but now that I know Cinema Tools doesn't support 2-perf I'm concerned. I've done a lot of editing, but never anything shot on film so I've never used Cinema Tools before. I've been reading the manual, but now that I've read that post I'm wondering if it's necessary to continue.

Would it be possible to give me a brief outline of the workflow to follow in this situation? We're doing an HD-DI Finish and going to HDCamSR.

I'd really appreciate any info... and thanks in advance for any help.

Joni
