This doesn't answer the problem, but an FYI. I just had to do a recapture of P2 material backed up on a hard drive. Although the method recommended by those here MOSTLY worked, there were issues with spanned files. Sometimes Log and Transfer would import immediately, sometimes I'd have to do the spanned files in a separate session. Sometimes a new partial file would be created. And out of hundreds of files, there were about 8 or 9 that never automatically imported. I had to manually do it.
