XDCAM 24p & HDV 24p
by Samuel Hall on Mar 24, 2009 at 3:12:33 pm

I have a project with footage shot on a Sony EX1 1080 24p with pulldown and footage shot with a Canon XH-A1 1080 24p. The XH footage was shot an captured properly and is now 23.98 fps. The EX1 footage however is 29.97 with pulldown.

I need to remove the pulldown from the EX1 footage so that it is 23.98 and can cut with the rest of the footage. I'm assuming that Cinema Tools can remove this pulldown but Cinema Tools doesn't seem to want to do anything to the XDCAM footage from the EX1. Do I need to transcode it to ProRes before Cinema Tools can modify it?
