If not that, maybe other things. ;-)
In general, for all apps...
A great HABIT to get into is to hit "Apple-S" (Save) very, very, very often as you work.
Maybe after every, or every few, at least, change you make.
This way, if you get a freeze, a crash, or other situation where you need to restart the app or the Mac, nearly all of your previous work will still be there when you open the app again.
