record microphone through camera to computer?

Is there an analogue to digital option with Soundtrack pro and my sony HDV 1080i

So I can hook up my dynamic mic to the camera either the XLR or the 1/8 " input, put the camera in record mode and get the digital signal to go into my MacBook pro with Soundtrack?
