Import Problems...

dear Creative-Friends,
I 've experiencing a strange problem.....i've two workstation using both the same MAC 8core the FIRSTMAC is equipped with 8gb RAM, leopard last release and the SECONDMAC with 4 Gb RAM but tiger 10.4.11
both workstation capture dv and hdv tapes from two HVR-M15-A decks....
thr problem is the following:
on the FIRSTMAC I frequently have timecode breaks and data rate is 3,1-3,2 Mb/sec
on the SECONDMAC everything is perfect and data rate is 3,6 Mb/sec constantly
Why ?
May be simply the FW cable....? I've already changed it...but may be it's better to buy a very expensive one.....or what ?
thank you for your time....
Alvaro
