Totally agree with you Sean. As a registered user of my software and someone who doesn't pirate - I really cannot understand the ferocity and fervor of all this holier than thou finger wagging. As someone who bought the software what do you care if Jonny-down-the-street downloaded his software illegally? How does that seriously effect you? It doesn't. Sure the act of pirates might be built into your cost - but I'd say that is minimal at best.

I know personally that a lot of my friends and people I associate with on a PROFESSIONAL level are software pirates in some form or another - and do I care? Heck no I don't care. It's about as low level of a legal infraction that there is in my opinion - on par with a parking ticket or J-walking in my opinion. A lot of these posts are so vitriolic and have the overtones of an RIAA or MPAA lawyer. I've never known common folk to want to align themselves in that way.

And Sean your point about the licensing agreement is well received - I would prefer an uproar over the restrictive wording of the licensing agreement over the blind drinking of the Apple kool-aid and assenting to all their legal positions. But that's just me.

Oh and sorry Tim if me continuing this thread personally upsets you - I've been contributing here for years and years and I never knew that I could offend admins when there was still clearly still fresh dissenting opinions on the matter. I think you have the power to lock or delete this post so if you feel it necessary - feel free to exercise that power.
