FCP settings list to long - how to cut & how to save settings
by Rory Hinds on Oct 29, 2008 at 12:24:49 am

Hi there

I'm hoping someone can help me.
I'm running FCP6.0.4 and want to cut the list of Settings and can't seem to find where they are stored.

In FCP doing.... File/Export/QuickTime Movie and choose the setting

When I export a timeline and choose a different setting for export the list is way too long with settings I don't ever use.

I've looked in the /Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro System Support/Custom Settings
and
/Applications/Final Cut Pro Additional Easy Setups

Moving files out of these folders doesn't seem to shorten the list.

Another things I'm trying to work out is I'd like to save my own setting and recall it but when I choose

File/Export/QuickTime Movie and choose the Custom Setting there is no way of saving the setting for future recall.

Is this just something FCP is unable to do?
