Winston...we are NOT talking about professional level video here. We are talking CONSUMER level. People who use DV and HDV cameras with iMovie. Like my wife and kids. They don't use FCP, but they use iMovie...and they need firewire to offload footage from the DV camera they have. Without firewire, they CANNOT offload this footage.

OH, but Firewire is dead, and firewire cameras are being phased out...right? Well, what about the people who have good working cameras and have NO NEED to upgrade to tapeless? They STILL SELL firewire DV and HDV cameras, so firewire is NOT dead.

This is as stupid as not including firewire 800 on the first MacBook Pros. Boneheaded.
