They should have stopped the FW400 ports years ago. They never pushed FW800 the way they should so getting rid of it now seems a bit odd, but I guess better late then never. I'm supposing they're saying since there's a ExpressCard slot, you can add FW400 if you really need it or better yet go to a eSata.

As far as the screen goes, I'm sure just like with the iPods someone is going to come out with a nice matte-screen protector so I'm not really bummed on that either.

I still think the MacBook Pro is worth the price increase for pro apps compared to the MacBook especially with the ExpressCard slot. That alone opens up a world of possibilities the MacBook can't touch.

I think the only disappointing thing was the lack of Blu-Ray drives, but as Steve said the licensing is a nightmare. I kinda doubted they'd add it to their laptops without adding it to their desktops first anyway.

Just IMHO. :)
