Files in 1280x 768?

Hi!
I'm suposed to deliver material to a company that manage some "in store" tv channels. They have flat screen LCD-monitors that are feeded from a computer in VGA!
They use the resolution 1280x 768 and want me to deliver WMV-files or Flash.
Has anyone suggestions how I should do this to get the best result? Should I produce in 1920x1080 and down convert?
I use Flip4Mac to create WMV-files and the closest default resolution is 1280x720. What happens on the screens if I use that resolution?
What happens if I force Flip4Mac to render files in 1280x768?
Thanks, Per!
