EX3 codec for FCP 6.1

Hi,
I'm trying to import some QTs shot with an EX3 into FCP. I'm using 6.1 but the QTs will not play picture, saying I am missing a codec. I tried it on my office computer, which has the codec listed in application support, but it still did not display picture. Does anyone know where I can download the actual codec? It seems like the only thing I can find is the transfer program from sony, which doesn't allow me to play the video, I have already tried it. I don't have the camera, I just have the QTs the DP gave me on a drive. Thanks for any help!
