From Amiga Toaster to Lightwave for the Mac

Hello,
After most of my old Toaster 4000s died (I still have one that works) I decided to purchase the new Lightwave for my G5 Mac. Everything looks so much different but obviously way better than the old Toaster Lightwave. I got another copy for my students where I teach. My questions are as follows:
The old systems had many objects included like starfields, spaceships, 747s etc. Are there any included with Lightwave latest versions? Or are these 3rd party objects for purchase?
What tutorials do you recommend for students starting from scratch? I need lots of help as well.
hey Doug Graham, I'm from your old hometown (Kingsport)
Thanks for any help and references.
