LiveType will install with FCS3! If you are having difficulties, you should probably use Disk Utilities to Repair Permissions on your boot disk. Then insert your Final Cut Pro 6 or earlier Install disk and turn everything except LiveType off in the Custom Install window. It really doesn't matter if FCS3 was a fresh install or an upgrade.
