Keyframe buttons(LED) non existant

Hi,

I'm using Livetype for the first time.
I open the program, type in a word in the inspector. There are no "LED" buttons to create keyframes with under any of the tabs of the inspector window. This is also true for the LiveFont presets.

Can anyone help me out here?
