Rectangular not round

In Live Type's Objects--Particles, there is a fireworks-looking one called Big Bang. When I bring it into Final Cut Pro and reduce its size, I get a really ugly looking rectangular box (apparently the original screen shape). Same happens when I reduce the object's size in Live Type. I'd like to create my own on-screen fireworks finale, but I can get rid of those ugly rectangular shapes.

Suggestions? Thanks.
