I'm still experiencing the same problems you mention. The OS update did not help nor did the Blackmagic update. My guess is it is the nvidia drivers.
If anyone else reading this has a similar problem, please post your system specs here so we can try to find a common component.
To summarize,
PROBLEM:
In Livetype, Objects and textures do not display in the viewer or render. I have a small bit of corruption showing in the upper region of the viewer frame. Fonts and effects work but some users report problems here as well.
List you Mac model, OS version, Quicktime version, amount of ram, graphics card, Open GL version (can be found in System Profiler under Frameworks tab), and any third-party hardware that might affect the graphics display.
I'll start:
Mac Pro 2x3.2 Quadcore - 10.5.3 (10.5.2 had same issues) - QT 7.4.5 - 6MBram - nvidia8800GT - SATA internal & external storage - Blackmagic Multibridge Pro (v6.7)- Open GL 1.5.6 - Wacom Intous2 tablet
Primary System Info
Mac Pro 2x3.2 Quadcore - 6MBram - nvidia8800GT - SATA internal & external storage - Blackmagic Multibridge Pro
