Hi everyone,

I am upgrading to Lion in order to properly run PPro CS6 and take away a leggy timeline. Richard Harrington suggested doing a clean install of Lion, which I did on my MBP and it works great. So now I'm about to do it on my main editing system, an early 2010 iMac intel core i7, 2.8GHz, 16GB Ram, ATI Radeon HD 4850. I know it's older, but gotta stick with it for now.

My question is, I'd like to keep iLife apps (mainly iPhoto). Apple Care said that I could do a clean install of Snow Leopard, runn all updates, then do a regular install of Lion from the App Store in order to keep iPhoto. I use iPhoto for my personal iPhone images and enjoy keeping things in albums.

So is this an ok idea or is it going to bite me later on? I'd like to save the $15 on purchasing iPhoto but not to the result of messing up my pro apps of FCP7, and CS6.

Thank you for any advise! :)
