There are a number of reasons that this can happen. Usually, it is easily resolved by techniques such as those described above.

Recently, I had the problem and finally gave up. Then, I found Trash It at the following URL:

http://www.nonamescriptware.com/

It's free. However, after using it I had no problem making a donation to the creator.
