Just did the same thing today. I tried to roll back my MacPro which came with 10.6. My Leopard disk was 10.5 which wouldn\'t load on the hardware of the new Mac Pro. So I took an internal drive to an older G5 and loaded the 10.5 disk and then updated to 10.8. Put the drive back in the Mac Pro and booted into 10.8.
