after digging around some, it seems there is a 3rd party app which will constantly run in the background of my macpro/macbook pro to prevent it fouling up my PC's - nice there is an app, not so nice to have some app always running to prevent it... so if there is any other way you guys know of, Id be very pleased to know about it.
