What I need is a 3 display setup with two of the displays acting as one and the third by itself.
If I can get the OS to recognize two of the displays as one, I can monitor 3840x1080 video out of Final Cut Pro and retain the remaining display for the UI.
I have an inkling that if the OS can't be fooled into combining two displays, it can be done with hardware.
All theories are welcome as well as suggestions of other forums I might post on.
