Will Flip Ultra HD camera connect to a NON Intel Mac?

Does anyone know whether the Flip camera will feed its video into a NON Intel Mac? The Flip specs are confusing, as is the answer from their email tech support. I don't need the Flip software to edit the video, I just need to get the video out of the camera.

Flip wants Tiger or better and an Intel processor but says what's critical is having at least 1.6 Ghz speed and 1 Gig of ram. I've got more of both but am operating a G5 Dual. Their tech support is email and probably automated. I asked a simple question and all I needed was a yes or no, which they did not provide.
