dual G5 does not recognize PCIe Firewire card

Hi all,

I have a question about installing a Siig Firewire 800 3-Port PCIe card into a Mac dual 2.3Ghz G5. It seems that my rear firewire ports on the computer are blown so I thought that this card would be an easy way to get the ports back. However, after installing it, it does not seem to work. There are no drivers included, the manual says that Mac OS will automatically recognize the card.

Also, there is a four pin power cable that comes with the card and it says that it is recommended to use this cable for optimum performance. However, i dont see anywhere inside the G5 to connect this four pin cable so I have not.

Has anyone else installed a PCIe firewire card in one of the older (early 2005) dual G5 machines?
