da Vinci Systems (www.davsys.com) is looking for an individual to act as a key technical consultant and customer support engineer for the Eastern US. Must be personable and customer oriented with technical knowledge in video, image data and storage systems. Extensive regional travel and working without daily supervision is a core requirement. This position is home office-based.
Typical work activities include:
Developing and maintaining relationships with customers; responding to customer phone calls, emails and facility visits; evaluating and resolving problems; liaising with and working alongside facility operators and engineers; offering customer training in post production workflow, operations, system configuration and maintenance engineering; troubleshooting and repairing equipment and systems; providing customers with regular reports and feedback on their service requests; offering feedback on future product development, features and functions; preparation and support for sales, demonstration and trade show activities and other functions as identified by the regional sales manager.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 7 -10 years experience in video or image data management and field support
Preferred BSEE degree or equivalent experience
Excellent communications, oral and written
Proficient in Microsoft office software
Extensive Linux operating system knowledge
Extensive post production workflow knowledge
Extensive file system and networking installation, configuration and operation knowledge
