DE Glower Mac

Hello All,
I am trying to use the effects DE Glower and Fireworks which I received free with the Meyer's book, with AE CS3 on my mac. The file type seems to be different(older?) than all the rest of the free plug-ins which work fine, anyone know if this is fixable? Thx...
