Shade Shape 3d effect with rotation
by

I have a 2d image and I applied the shade shape effect which looks real cool. How do I get it to still look 3d when I rotate the object around the y axis? I am thinking there must be a way to "extrude" the 2d image so when it rotates and you see the edge it is not a single pixel width.
Thanks
Eric
