NAB's over and I'm on vacation now, so just a couple of quick comments. Our website update didn't happen yet, but there will be more details up there next week. Getting all the latest right away is the advantage of attending NAB!

- The price for the CF 2.0 plug-in (for AE/FCP/PPro) is $595, same as for 1.5.
- The price for the CF 2.0 standalone color corrector application is $1995.
- The price for the four-trackball control surface (the Colorociter) is $3950. This works with either the plug-in or the standalone app.

Yes, there will be bundle deals on hardware and software combos and upgrades from current versions of CF. And if you buy version 1.5 now, you'll get a free upgrade to 2.0. There are so many different upgrade paths now that for details please wait for our upgrade pricing matrix.

It's not true that there is no realtime. It is true that not everything is realtime all the time. There are many factors which affect playback performance and I think you'll find that that is the case for all software color correctors. I'll leave it to others to report on real world testing, rather than tradeshow demos.

The hdforindies site also make mention of a problem with nested sequences. This is actually an FCP XML bug, not a CF bug, which just happened to come up in conversation with Mike. It's not that we have something against nesting sequences.

Finally, no, this version does not have geometric masking. (Only DaVinci has "Power Windows," as it's their trademark.) Unfortunately it just didn't make the cut for this version.

I'll be back next week after my vacation (Woohoo! A day off!) and will be able to respond more. It was a good NAB. Sorry not everyone could make it.
