Trouble adding particular to 3D tracked scene
by kenneth bonde on Apr 14, 2009 at 1:51:33 pm

Hi

I have a shot, shot from a helicopter. The scene has been 3D tracked in syntheyes and is perfect. When the maya project is imported into AfterEffects all nulls locks to the groundplane as expected.

Now I want to add trapcode particular to one of the nulls.

- Adding a comp size solid as a 2D layer.
- Adding trapcode particular to the solid.
- Using expressions I connect the emitter positions to the nulls.

Problems occurs !

The emitter ends up some other place in AE 3D space, even if I try to rewire the x,y,z values differently. If I turn off the 3D camera inside AE - the emittre is there, but I need the camera.

If I manually move the emitter position to the null, the x,y,z values a totally different.

It's like the world size of the AE comp and particular are totally different.

Anyone been there and solved it ?

Any help appriciated
