Cloud Mist

Bit of a variation on the usual clouds topic... I've managed to get some good looking clouds out of particular, but now I really need some help with the cloud 'mist'... At the start of this clip: http://www.trapcode.com/gallery/polar2007_h.mov you can see the mist going across frame...

I was just wondering if anyone could give me any advice on how to achieve this look?
