pixel aspect ratio - SD to HD
by richrama on Oct 8, 2007 at 7:27:17 pm

Hey all-

I'm pulling out an older project that a client wants changed from SD to HD.

I want my framing to be exactly what was in SD plus extra content on the left and right- imagine going from a 720x540 frame to a 960x540 frame.

The problem that I am having is that whenever I change the render settings to a different aspect ratio or pixel width/height, the renderable area of the frame converts to HD (16:9) by a reduction in height instead of an addition in width. The 720x540 frame essentially turns to 720x405.

My camera is animated, so I am not going to mess with eyeballing a new camera placement.

Any solutions?

Thanks,

Rich
