Re: Sequence in Source Monitor cannot be inserted or overwritten into Timeline

Hi Andy,

Yes, we have had this same problem. I have gotten around this by adjusting my in point to occur before a transition on the source sequence and then deleting the excess on the master viewer.

Sony has identified this as a known bug and has written the following on their readme files for version 7.01. If you do not have a readme file for your XPRI e-mail me directly and I'll forward the Word doc to you.

Taken from Sony's Readme File:

When a sequence is pasted in the versioning mode with a transition effect at the In point of the first clip, a part of the sequence will be offline. Try the following methods to avoid this problem.
a)Copy and paste the contents of the clipboard instead of pasting the sequence in the versioning mode.
b)Perform Add Edit on the Out point of the transition effect and paste the sequence in the versioning mode.
Splice-In performed on the following situations in the Source Viewer fails in track patch on the source track and filler insertion to the active master track.
a)The contents of the clipboard are loaded by Cut to SV or Copy to SV to a part of the sequence or the whole sequence.
b)The sequence is loaded in the versioning mode.
