Zip footage for Overseas FTP

Hey,

I'm coming over to L.A. in a few weeks time. The crew I'll be with are shooting on Canon XF305, at 1080 50i - making a 32GB card is about 1 hour 20 mins worth of footage. I need to then send this footage back to the Edit in the UK - most likely via FTP. So I need to send as smaller files as possible.

Can somebody recommend any software to compress the files (ZIP, RAR , etc) for transfer, NOT compressing the video footage by reformatting the footage. It has to remain as the 1080 50i MXF files.

Is this at all possible?
