The problem is that my client isn't confident in their shooting/digitizing abilities, hence them sending me the tape. I sent the tape out, and got back SD footage. Now I can't figure out who made the mistake-- the shooters or the digitizers.
I got my client's HDV tape from them (shot on standard mini-DV), and it plays in my GL2. Basically looks like widescreen SD.
If my GL2 plays it AT ALL, does that confidently mean it's NOT HDV? Or does it simply mean my GL2 won't give me anything better than SD when reading it?
