alright. well here are my findings.
I did everything one by one. I get a message after restarting FCP and doing the HDV setup...
"unable to locate the following external devices:
HDV (1440x1080) 60i
your system configuration may have changed, or your deck/camera may be disconnected or turned off."
I've double checked the firewire cable with my GL 2 and it' works fine so that's not it. I see that there is an option for a HDV firewire cable or an HD firewire yet the apple store told me that there is no HD firewire cable. anyway I am unable to capture again. I am in 6.0 now too. Just trying anything.
