There is a free? solution for Mac using Quartz Composer suggested at -
http://vjforums.com/showthread.php?t=37691

Not familiar with Macs and not sure if it does videos too.

Else, Dataton's Dynamic Image Server portion of its Watchout software. But relatively more expensive as you will need licences - one for Production, and one for Display, and one more additional licence for the Dynamic Image server.
