Re: Win 7 Pro 64-bit system specs

Hi Dave & Todd, As of yesterday I purchased a Workstation - HP Z800.
Configured with Dual QC 2.66 ZEONs. 12GB Ram and 3 terabytes of storage including a 250GB for OS and Appz. Along with a Quadro FX4800.
Windows 7 64bit. Adobe Master collection CS5. and later Lightroom and 3d MAX.
I am still installing the ADOBE UPDATES. Hopefully it might speed up the appz when starting up. I run a Print Production Business, ie DESIGN and Print. I also have a Panasonic P2HD and other equipment.
I am happy with the system so far...
My query is, I would like to create Digital Signage Media and other motion graphics for clients for internal SERVICE AND PRODUCT presentations, but want to know where to find out about setting the correct settings to speed up Ae Pr and Ps. I was playing with some video footage trying out some filters and and so on... and find it is not as fast as I had expected. am I doing something wrong?
I have more questions, but this is for starters. I have just joined the Creative Cow forum and I am sure I can get all sorts of suggestions and help here down the track.
