I'd use the 500GB drive as the system drive for installation of everything. I'd keep the RAID 0 the way it is. This striping will write data to both drives, increasing speed. Using the 'Super Speed' mobo funcitonality can almost double your transfer rates. I'd use the TB drive to backup the RAID 0 since there's no redundancy in your storage if you don't. What is the rpm and cache of your hard drives? I'd get Windows 7 64 bit ASAP if I were you. The new OS takes up less of your RAM for ordinary tasks, leaving you more of your 6GB... which can cheaply be upgraded to 8. upgrading to 16GB is a lot more expensive since 4gb sticks are still $$.
