Thanks for that.

In terms of 'low end' video editing software, more than likely I would choose something from this list:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_editing_software

& maybe from the NLE 'Commercial'(Windows), 'Closed Source' (Windows) or 'Open Source' categories;I haven't decided yet.

From my knowlege to date, my choice seems to be very much influenced by the type of camera and format.

It seems that everything we've talked about so far stems from this consideration.
