A good editing machine is as good as the weakest component.
1. Power Supply...500w Antec
2. ASUS or Intel motherboard with no video/sound built in. Firewire/LAN/ OK.
3. Intel Quad processor 2.6 Ghz
4. 4 GB RAM
5. NVidia video card...256 RAM Geforce 8600
6. Sound Blaster card.
7. 64 bit Windows Vista if all your apps are OK with 64 bit, otherwise 32 bit.
