Is there a way to rec in MP4 with Timeshift ?!

Hi all,
i need to know if there is a way (hardware + software) to record a video in MP4 (divx or xvid) with the possibility to use timeshift when needed.

I've already used a minimac but the quality is not so good.

Any suggestion?!
