TV flicker on DVD after aparently doing everything right

Good day.

I recently finished a dvd project. I wanted it PAL widescreen, this is what I did:

-started sony vegas project with the settings: DVD/PAL 16:9 with Vídeo: 720x576, 25,000 fps interlaced.

-rendered the project with the MPEG 2 DVD ARCHITECT WIDESCREEN STREAM PAL (plus ac3 for sound)

-opened DVD architect project, with template MPEG 2 DVD PAL WIDESCREEN (16:9) 720x576:50i

when I went to burn it, as I expected it did not tell me to reencode anything.

Thing is, when I watched it I still get constant flickering throughout the whole video.

Any ideas on to why this happens? ive burned projects before and followed the steps AFAIK correctly and flickering has been minimal.
