Louis RebecchiInterlacing issues after DVD authoring (DVDxDV/ FCP/ DVD Studio Pro)

Hello...

I have DVDs that are compilations of other DVD material. When playing back these DVDs on a television there is extreme visual interlacing, however when playing back on computer, it's fine.

I am using DVDxDV to capture the original DVD material- lower field dom., 8-bit uncompressed. Compiling in Final Cut, compressing Mpeg2 (DVD best quality 90 min in compressor), and authoring in DVD studio pro.

I've tried multiple combinations of field dom settings to solve this problem and I'm not getting anywhere. Please, any insight would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
