Not enough space on output media in DVD Studio Pro
by Ken Hyde on Oct 27, 2009 at 8:47:06 pm

I'm trying to get 153 minutes of video onto a disk using Final Cut Studio. I ran it through the 150 minute encode in Compressor. It worked. The Inspector window in Compressor gave me an estimated file size of 4.15 GB. In DVD Studio Pro, I added one opening menu and Studio Pro is telling me the project is now 9.3 GB. I got the "Formatting was not successful. Not enough space on output media" error. How on earth is that one menu eating 5 GB of space? Any ideas on how I can get the project small enough to fit onto one disk? I shot in HD but am compressing down to SD. Thanks for any help...
