AVID MC to Sorenson Squeeze to AVID DVD Best Settings?
by Michael Uss on Jun 25, 2009 at 6:36:49 pm

I haven't looked far and wide yet, but the software I have:

Avid Media Composer (just got a new computer that can run it finally)
Sorenson Squeeze (newest upgrade version of that program)
Avid DVD by Sonic

I shot on a Canon XH-A1 in SD 16x9 at 30p frame rate.

It's 25 minutes of footage, I just wanted to lay it to a timeline and make it look good on DVD for someone to look at.

I used a reference file, both native and 16x9 output, but when I put them directly into Avid DVD, they always end being square.

My question (finally) is with the programs listed above, what's the best settings (workflow) to get a quality standard def DVD?

I'm not a great DVD author, I need to learn this part, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Michael
