What's the Max resolution for a 16x9 DVD?

In Premiere 6.5 with my old Canopus rig the only choice seems to be 16x9 480 x 720 which seems to down convert from 480 x 840.
Should I strive to maintain the 840? I use DVD Architect 2 to author so I'm sure I might have to change some things there as well.
Thanks.
