You can use many different programs to make it, but after effects will work just fine. It depends on what parts you are trying to create. Some of the scenes have the camera rotating around the character. With a shot like that you would need to use some sort of 3D tracking software like Syntheyes or BouJou. If you just have a locked off or single direction shot you can use after effects alone.
