need to find this sparkle transition or the plugin responsible

I need to recreate a commercial for a client and though I could probably get away with a different transition, I would really like to use the same one he already has, or at least be able to, in case he is married to this one. I'm almost positive all of this was done in LiveType and Final Cut Pro, or maybe Motion, but I don't have Motion (we're still on Final Cut Pro prior to Studio here... don't ask) I have access to Motion elsewhere, if it's absolutely necessary, but I would like to use After Effects instead if it's not a FCP plugin.

and below, in color. Also, I have simulated the particles in this using Livetype, but I'm not sure if that is how they were originally created or if someone knows of a plugin for that as well.
