Line animation

Guys do you have any idea how i can manke something like this????







I know this guy made a frame by frame animation in there, but i can not figure out a way to make something similar...

I mean, I ve tried to animate a line using the text animation (line of dots) but the thing is that you can not animate tath path in real time, you only tell the text to walk over that path...

any clue?
